The month of April is the premier’s Active April. It is dedicated to getting Victorian’s active and creating positive habits and lifestyle changes. We love high-intensity workouts, where you don’t have to slug it out on the treadmill for hours on end. High-intensity workouts burn more fat, are fun, and good to get your heart rate up quickly!
The Active April Workout
- 3km warm-up on the treadmill/ or around an oval or the block (if at home)
- 10 squat jumps
- 10 reverse lunges
- 10 pushups
- 5 dips/5 tricep pushups
- 10 bicep curls (if at the gym)
- 7 burpees
- 40-second front plank
- 30-second side plank (each side)
- 40 toe touches
- 30 crunches
- 20 cycles
REPEAT 3 TIMES!!
Remember to stretch once you have completed your workout, drink plenty of water, and lots of nutritious foods!
