Active April

The month of April is the premier’s Active April. It is dedicated to getting Victorian’s active and creating positive habits and lifestyle changes. We love high-intensity workouts, where you don’t have to slug it out on the treadmill for hours on end. High-intensity workouts burn more fat, are fun, and good to get your heart rate up quickly!

The workout

  • 3km warm-up on the treadmill/ or around an oval or the block (if at home)
  • 10 squat jumps
  • 10 reverse lunges
  • 10 pushups
  • 5 dips/5 tricep pushups
  • 10 bicep curls (if at the gym)
  • 7 burpees
  • 40-second front plank
  • 30-second side plank (each side)
  • 40 toe touches
  • 30 crunches
  • 20 cycles

REPEAT 3 TIMES!!

Remember to stretch once you have completed your workout, drink plenty of water, and lots of nutritious foods!
