Dr. Danielle Baxter

Bachelor of Applied Science (Comp Med), Master of Osteopathy, Level One- Trigger Point Dry Needling

Danielle completed her studies at RMIT University in 2012. From there, she moved to Canberra to work as an osteopath and gain valuable insight from a large practice there. In February 2014, Danielle moved back to her home town in Sunbury and started working at Complete Healthcare with Marty and the team. Danielle loves working in the town that she grew up in because it is such a friendly community and enjoys seeing familiar faces.

As a healthcare practitioner, Danielle has a particular interest in empowering her patients to reach their functional goals. She uses a mixture of hands- on techniques such as stretching and joint mobilisation, and also works with you to incorporate exercise and movement into your management plan for better health outcomes. As a patient, you can expect lots of discussion about your aims from treatment and helping to improve your understanding of your body, and also lots of general chit chat.

Danielle is currently completing a PhD and is exploring the role of osteopathic treatment in the management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). She also works at RMIT University as a lecturer in the osteopathy department, and is a committee member of the Australasian Osteopathic Accreditation Council. In her spare time Danielle likes to plan her next travel destination (all tips welcome!) and tries to be as active as possible, whether that be running, swimming, netball, softball or cycling.
