16 Jan Detoxifying Green Smoothie
This week we’re all about restoring our bodies back to good health after the festive season. We can do this by making sure we are drinking lots of water, consuming loads of vegetables, and getting plenty of rest. We can also do this by adding an additional green smoothie to our daily diet. Green smoothies/ juices are a great way to get our daily vegetable intake in, as well as help with the detoxifying process. Detoxifying Green Smoothies are quick and easy, and also very refreshing on a hot summer’s day. Try this delicious recipe for a healthy summer treat!
The Detoxifying Green Smoothie Requires:
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 stalk of celery
- 1/2 a frozen banana
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- 1/2 a green apple
- Stalk of kale
- Handful of mint
- 1/2 a lemon
- Optional: add in a slice of frozen mango!
What to do:
Chop up all the ingredients and place them in a blender with coconut water/ filtered water and ice. Blend and enjoy!
