Detoxifying Green Smoothie

This week were all about restoring our bodies back to good health after the festive season. We can do this by making sure we are drinking lots of water, consuming loads of vegetables and getting plenty of rest. We can also do this by adding an additional green smoothie to our daily diet. Green smoothies/ juices are a great way to get our daily vegetable intake in, as well as help with the detoxifying process. Smoothies are quick and easy, and also very refreshing on a hot summers day.

You will need:

1 handful of spinach

1/2 cucumber

1 stalk of celery

1/2 a frozen banana

1 teaspoon of chia seeds

1/2 a green apple

Stalk of kale

Handful of mint

1/2 a lemon

Optional: add in a slice of frozen mango!

What to do:

Chop up all the ingredients and place them in a blender with coconut water/ filtered water and ice. Blend and enjoy!
